Issue 4
The year 2024 is drawing to a close, but not before you get your hands on Issue 4 of your Philippine Resources Journal – our biggest magazine ever, at 84 pages -- as we report on the traditionally busiest quarter for the mining, construction, and allied resources industries.
Our commentaries begin as always with our esteemed lawyer-columnists, Ronnie Penarroyo and Trisha Bunye; the former talks about how he has bridged science and law in his unique practice as a geologist-attorney, while the latter discusses how the Mines and Geosciences Bureau has transitioned from its former chief Danilo Uykieng to current OIC Michael Cabalda.
Then our pages are chock-full of updates from the mining industry from our ace journalist Marcelle Villegas, whose articles covering the Chamber of Mines, the Philippine Mining and Exploration Association, and even the Philippine Nickel Industry Association are spread across our pages.
We do not forget, of course, about our construction component, beginning with articles on page 60, and a brace of scholarly articles for mining and other industries from our partner companies and supporters.
You cannot miss, of course, the image on our cover courtesy of our longtime partner Epiroc, as the story of their new diesel-electric Minetruck explains in full on page 80.
This and other news and updates fill Issue 4 of your Philippine Resources Journal, and from our team to yours, we wish you happy holidays and a prosperous New Year in 2025.
